The Alexander Technique was devised  by F.M. Alexander, an Australian stage actor frustrated by  persistent voice loss.

 

Observing that the problem stemmed from unconscious muscular tension, Alexander developed a set of principles, easily applicable to our day-to-day lives, which we can use to release unwanted  tension.
